Tremors are due to activation of Landhi fault line

Karachi: Earthquake tremors were felt once again in different areas of Karachi on Saturday.
According to Chief Meteorologist Amir Haider, earthquake tremors were felt in Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Quaidabad, Gulzar Hijri, University Road, and its surrounding areas of Karachi.
The Chief Meteorologist said that the earthquake tremors are due to the activation of the Landhi fault line, and it is not possible to say how long these tremors can continue.
He stated that the Landhi fault line was activated in 2009 as well. At that time, minor earthquakes were recorded for more than 2 months.
