‘IMF has accepted Pakistan’s position on this matter’

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the government has informed the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that no taxes will be imposed on agriculture.
Speaking during a meeting of the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister said the IMF had been told that Pakistan's agriculture sector is currently under immense pressure, and therefore, taxing it is not acceptable. He added that the IMF has accepted Pakistan’s position on this matter.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the Israeli attack on Iran, calling it an act of open aggression against Pakistan’s brotherly neighboring country.
He stated that hundreds of Iranians have been martyred or injured as a result of the Israeli aggression, and Pakistan has condemned the attack at every level.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that he had called the Iranian President on the very first day to express Pakistan's solidarity and urged the international community to take action to stop the war.
