Rescue efforts are ongoing

(Web Desk): In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district, five people — including two women — have died after a boat capsized at the tourist spot Shahi Bagh in the Kalam Valley. A child and two other individuals are still missing, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
According to reports, rescue officials stated that members of the same family from Mardan were boating in Shahi Bagh when the boat's engine failed, causing it to go out of control and overturn.
Police reported that out of the seven people on board, two women lost their lives, while one child and two other individuals remain missing. Local residents managed to rescue one child and the boatman alive.
Rescue authorities said the search for the missing individuals — including a young brother and sister — has entered its second day. Strong river currents and the mountainous terrain are making rescue operations difficult.
A video of the incident has also surfaced, showing people trying to cling to ropes to escape the fast-flowing water.
