Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that the registration of pilgrims for Hajj 2026 has started and will continue till July 9.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that no fee will have to be paid for Hajj registration. Advance registration is mandatory, and pilgrims are required to register for both government and private schemes. Registration is also mandatory for Pakistanis living abroad.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, only registered applicants will be considered eligible for Hajj 2026. Hajj registration can be done from 15 approved banks across the country.
After Hajj registration, pilgrims will be able to choose a government or private Hajj scheme. Registration will also be mandatory for pilgrims who are left behind from the private scheme this year.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that the expenses and other terms and conditions of Hajj 2026 will be issued separately in accordance with the Hajj Policy. Hajj registration is being done following the instructions of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government will be informed of the Hajj registration data. Based on the registration, the Saudi government will set the Hajj quota.
