If legal resident engages in violence, terrorism, or hateful activities, their green card or visa can be revoked

Washington: A new law to revoke visas and green cards has been implemented, issuing a new warning for those coming to the United States.
A new and stricter turn has come to light in July 2025 regarding immigration policies in the United States.
The Immigration Department has issued a warning message to those wishing to enter the United States, green card holders, and visa holders, saying that coming to the United States and living here is a privilege, not a right. If you support terrorism, encourage violence, or participate in any such activity, you will no longer be eligible to live in the United States.
This warning came at a time when President Donald Trump has launched the toughest crackdown on immigration in his new term.
His administration claims that it will deport millions of illegal immigrants. According to the White House, everyone living in the country illegally is a criminal. This action is not limited to illegal immigrants, but also to people who have valid visas or green cards.
According to US media, there have been several cases reported in which green card holders were also detained in immigration raids.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, as of January 1, 2024, 12.8 million people were legal permanent residents in the United States. Now, USCIS says that if a legal resident violates American values or laws, such as engaging in violence, terrorism, or hateful activities, their green card or visa can be revoked.
The Trump administration has also accelerated the process of revoking the visas of foreign students accused of supporting Hamas at universities. This includes actions such as participating in campus protests and distributing flyers.
Two people of Palestinian origin were recently detained, including Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University student and activist, and Mohsen Mahdavi, a green card holder and citizen who was arrested while arriving for an appointment; both were later released after a legal battle.
According to the local university, there are currently more than 3.7 million cases pending in immigration courts, and asylum seekers have to wait for years.
On the other hand, Secretary of State Marco Rubio says that if a student comes to the United States with a visa only to participate in protests, occupy buildings, and cause chaos, a visa will not be issued to them.
The Trump administration is claiming the largest deportation campaign in history. Under which not only illegals but also green card holders involved in political or protest activities may be targeted.
On the other hand, USCIS has warned the public not to pay attention to any fake messages, calls, or payment requests, and to report any suspicious messages on the official website.
