Ghotki: A freight train's engine and five carriages derailed near Mirpur Mathelo Railway Station, disrupting train traffic on both the up and down tracks.
According to details, the freight train was en route from Punjab to Karachi when it derailed near Mirpur Mathelo. As a result, train operations on both tracks were suspended.
The derailment caused damage to the railway track, and the carriages separated from the engine. With the track blocked, multiple up and down passenger trains have been halted at various stations.
The Green Line down train has been stopped at Rahim Yar Khan Railway Station, where it has remained stationary for the past four hours.
According to railway officials, restoration work on the track is currently underway.
