Turkish Defense Minister, PAF Chief discuss regional security, defense cooperation

Rawalpindi: Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler held an important meeting with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu in which regional security, defense cooperation, and mutual collaboration were discussed in detail.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Air Chief Marshal highlighted the long-standing, brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and reiterated the commitment to further enhance cooperation in modern training and aerospace technology.

The two sides also agreed to establish joint working groups to accelerate and effectively advance progress in various areas of mutual interest.

In the meeting, the Turkish Defense Minister thanked the PAF for its hospitality during his visit to Pakistan. The Turkish Defense Minister appreciated the excellent performance of the Pakistan Air Force under the leadership of the Air Chief, its full readiness, and effective defense of national sovereignty during the Pak-India tension.

The Turkish Defense Minister also highlighted the strong and historic brotherly relations between the two countries.

It is pertinent to note that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler arrived in Islamabad on an official visit on Wednesday morning.
