Karachi: Sindh government has decided to write the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to get the mobile sims of unvaccinated people blocked.

The news was shared by Adviser to the Chief Minister Murtaza Wahab Friday on his offivcial twitter account.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has also directed to stop salaries of unvaccinated government employees.
Earlier today, Sindh government announced to shut down all educational institutions, including schools, colleges and tuition centres, will close down from July 26 (Monday) in view of rising Covid-19 cases due to spread of Indian Delta variant.
According to details, a meeting of coronavirus task force was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to review the pandemic situation in the province.
In the meeting, it was decided that education institutes will be closed across Sindh from Monday onwards, but exams will be held as per schedule. It has been further decided to ban wedding functions along with other activities from July 26.
The other measures include restricted market timings to 6pm, while bakeries, grocery stores and pharmacies will be exempted. Moreover, office will have 50% work from home and restaurants (indoor and outdoor) will be closed across the province with only take-away allowed.
The provincial health secretary informed the attendees of meeting that the positivity ratio in Sindh has reached 10.3%, while in Karachi the positivity ratio is recorded at 21.58%.
