PTI founder receiving full class-b jail facilities, says Jail Superintendent
Imran Khan has access to an open courtyard, space for walking, an exercise bike, an LED TV, newspapers, and books of his own choosing

(Web Desk): The Superintendent of Central Jail Rawalpindi has issued a clarification stating that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is being provided with all Class-B jail facilities strictly in accordance with the law and regulations, and no discriminatory treatment is being shown towards him.
According to the statement, the PTI founder is being kept in a separate complex consisting of seven cells, where he has access to an open courtyard, space for walking, an exercise bike, an LED TV, newspapers, and books of his own choosing. He has also been provided with a prisoner cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to his personal preferences — a facility not available to other Class-B inmates.

The press release further mentions that during his imprisonment, the PTI founder has released messages 413 times via the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), through which he issued directives to party leaders regarding political activities, elections, negotiations with the government, and constitutional amendments. Since August 2024, his statements have made headlines in national media 145 times.
Additionally, he has remained in contact with 10 international media outlets, including Reuters, Fox News, ITV, The Wall Street Journal, and others. He has also regularly addressed media representatives directly during court hearings held inside the jail.
In the past three months, 66 individuals have met with the PTI founder, including family members, political allies, and legal counsel. Jail-appointed doctors examine him three times a day, and over the past two weeks, his health has been declared completely satisfactory.
The jail administration rejected claims circulating on social media and in certain political circles about the PTI founder being denied facilities, calling them baseless and misleading — spread merely to create sensation and for political gain.
In conclusion, the jail administration stated that the PTI founder is being provided all facilities in accordance with the law, and his health, security, and rights are being fully safeguarded. In fact, he enjoys far more privileges compared to other inmates.
