(Web Desk): A gas leakage explosion resulted in a fire at a house in Rawalpindi, the twin city of the capital, leaving five people injured.
According to emergency sources, the incident occurred in the Jhanda Chechi Azizabad area of Rawalpindi, where a gas leakage led to an explosion, causing a fire. Five individuals were severely injured in the blast. They were immediately transferred to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where they are receiving urgent medical treatment.
The explosion also caused the collapse of the affected house's wall, spreading panic and fear in the area. Rescue teams and gas department personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and began rescue operations.
Initial reports suggest that the explosion occurred due to gas accumulating in the sealed house, which ignited and led to the blast.
