Naila Raja denies alleged affair with cricketer Imad Wasim

(Web Desk): Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim's alleged affair rumors have finally been addressed, as social media influencer Naila Raja has broken her silence and strongly denied the speculations.

Recently, rumors began circulating online that Imad Wasim’s marital issues with his wife, Sania Ashfaq, were due to an alleged affair. Some users shared a video showing Imad walking with a woman in London, claiming the woman was Naila Raja. Following this, Imad faced harsh criticism, with many calling him unfaithful and labeling his supposed betrayal of his pregnant wife as “shameful.”

While Imad Wasim has not publicly responded to the rumors, Naila Raja issued a detailed statement on Instagram, stating that the matter had gone too far and she now felt compelled to speak out.

Naila clarified that the video and Instagram story being referenced was actually posted by her on her own account and wasn’t secret in any way. She questioned how a simple Instagram story could possibly be the cause of someone’s divorce. She emphasized that in our society, honor is always associated with women, yet people forget that women have their own dignity and self-respect too.

Criticizing the societal mindset, Naila said that we live in a society where people are quick to judge others without any context, just to make themselves feel morally superior. She also pointed out that this kind of thinking leads to problems like honor killings and violence against women.

Addressing the viral video, Naila explained that it was taken outside an eyewear store in London, and the person who recorded it focused from an angle that deliberately excluded others who were also present.

As a public figure, Naila said she is open to a reasonable level of criticism, but requested not to be dragged into matters she has no connection with. She also revealed that her brother has been receiving threatening and provocative messages, telling him to “control” his sister. She condemned this behavior, saying she is a woman who has built her life with honor, hard work, and independence.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Imad Wasim has faced allegations of being involved in an inappropriate relationship. In the past, his alleged association with an Afghan woman also became a topic of public discussion, and photos of the two went viral online.
