PTI leader had been unwell for some time

Lahore: Former Punjab Governor and senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mian Azhar passed away in Lahore on Tuesday. According to family sources, Mian Azhar had been unwell for some time.
A veteran politician, Mian Azhar served as a Member of the National Assembly from Lahore. He was the father of PTI leader Hammad Azhar.
Mian Azhar also served as Mayor of Lahore and was later elected as Governor of Punjab and a Member of the National Assembly under the banner of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He is also regarded as one of the founding figures of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
