AJK polls 2021: Ten injured as scuffle breaks out between PPP, PTI workers in Bagh
Bagh: At least ten people suffered injuries after scuffle between broke out between the workers of political parties during Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.

According to details, polling in Bagh was halted after the brawl broke out between the workers of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Bagh.
The workers also resorted to aerial firing, while police and administration was unable to stop them.
The District Commissioner (DC) along with officials reached the site after two hours and engaged in a heated debate with journalists when asked about security arrangements.
SP Bagh, Mirza Zahid also reached the site and assured provision of complete security.
Earlier today in AJK’s Kotli, two men were killed after a clash broke out between workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) during polls in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)
The firing incident took place at the polling station in constituency LA-12 after rival political groups clashed.
On the other hand, at polling station No. 46 in Mirpur Azad Kashmir, a quarrel broke out between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PTI workers.
PML-N candidate Chaudhry Saeed went to the polling station to cast his vote and claimed that Chaudhry PTI workers quarreled when he went inside.
“Women were being prohibited from voting, we were attacked, stones were thrown, thugs were sitting at the polling station,” he said adding that one PML-N candidate sustained injuries as well.
Following the clash, PML-N workers threw table on PTI workers, injuring two.
Pakistan Army's Quick Response Force reached the spot of incident after getting information. While, the polling process was stopped.
It may be recalled that polling is taking place in 45 seats in Azad Kashmir today.
In all, there are a total of 32, 50,117 registered voters including 178,800 male and 146,8317 female in 33 electoral constituencies in all ten districts of AJK.
5118 polling stations have been set up in all three divisions including Muzaffarabad, Poonch and Mirpur. While, 830 polling stations are very sensitive while 1269 have been declared sensitive.
Moreover, all 12 constituencies meant for Pakistan-based Jammu & Kashmir refugees who would cast their vote to elect the Azad Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Over 2.8 million voters have been registered in 33 AJK constituencies and 0.4 million in 12 Jammu Kashmir refugees based in various parts of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Azad Kashmir government has imposed Section 144 from July 24 to 26, banning the entry of unrelated persons.
