Mirpur: Polling time has ended in all constituencies of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
According to details, the gates of polling stations have closed for all new voters, however; those already present inside will be allowed to cast their votes.
In all, there were a total of 32, 50,117 registered voters including 178,800 male and 146,8317 female in 33 electoral constituencies in all ten districts of AJK.
5118 polling stations were set up in all three divisions including Muzaffarabad, Poonch and Mirpur.
Over 2.8 million voters have been registered in 33 AJK constituencies and 0.4 million in 12 Jammu Kashmir refugees based in various parts of Pakistan.
As per details, total of 587 candidates are contesting the elections in 33 constituencies of Azad Kashmir districts and 121 candidates on 12 constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir refugees.
Meanwhile, over 40 thousand security personals including Pakistan army, Rangers and Police have been deployed outside polling stations to ensure peaceful balloting.
