Suspect allegedly approached a young girl playing in street and behaved inappropriately

Kasur: Police arrested on Monday a suspect, who was accused of assaulting a minor girl in Kasur a couple of days ago, in an injured condition.
Nasir Wattoo, who was accused of inappropriate conduct with a minor girl in Kasur, has been arrested in an injured condition, police confirmed.
According to the police spokesperson, the incident occurred three days ago in the Shah Inayat Colony area, where the suspect allegedly approached a young girl playing in the street and behaved inappropriately. CCTV footage capturing the act was circulated widely, prompting public outrage.
The District Police Officer (DPO) took immediate notice of the incident and directed A-Division Police Station to arrest the suspect. Today, the accused was taken into custody while injured.
The spokesperson added that the suspect was wounded by a gunshot from his own pistol, sustaining injuries to his sensitive body parts. He was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
Following the arrest, the DPO visited the victim’s family, who expressed their gratitude to the police for taking swift and effective action.
