TikTok introduces new features to enhance child safety and creator experience
TikTok now allows parents to block specific individuals from interacting with their child’s account

(Web Desk): Popular video-sharing app TikTok has introduced several new features aimed at improving online safety for children and making the platform safer and easier for content creators.
According to a tech website, TikTok has announced new tools that include enhanced parental controls and additional support features for creators.
Among the newly introduced features, TikTok now allows parents to block specific individuals from interacting with their child’s account. Once blocked, these individuals will neither be able to contact the child nor appear in the child’s news feed.
Additionally, parents will receive automatic notifications whenever their child uploads a public video, story, or image. This feature is designed to keep parents informed about their children’s online activities.
Furthermore, parents will now be able to see whether their 16 or 17-year-old has enabled video downloads and whether their following list is visible to others.
TikTok has also rolled out a new feature called “Creator Care Mode”, which automatically filters inappropriate, offensive, or abusive comments. It will also filter out comments from users whose remarks are frequently reported, disliked, or deleted.
TikTok says this feature uses artificial intelligence (AI) to understand the types of comments that creators often block or remove, and then suppresses similar comments in the future.
In addition, a new feature has been introduced for TikTok Live, allowing creators to completely block specific words from appearing in comments. Users who have used or attempt to use the blocked words can be temporarily muted for a set period.
These measures aim to create a safer and more positive environment for young users and creators alike.
