Faisalabad: An anti-terrorism court has sentenced senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to 10 years in prison.
In a case related to the events of May 9, the court sentenced PTI Member of the Provincial Assembly Junaid Afzal Sahi to 3 years in prison. Other convicted individuals include Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Omar Ayub, and Zartaj Gul — all of whom were handed 10-year prison terms.
Additionally, senior PTI leader Shibli Faraz was also sentenced to 10 years in prison. Meanwhile, PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Zain Qureshi, and Khayal Castro were acquitted in the case.
The court delivered its verdict in a case registered at Civil Lines Police Station on May 9, involving a total of 108 accused individuals.
