Shafqat Ali Khan has previously served as Pakistan’s ambassador to Poland and Russia


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of Pakistan’s new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia.
According to sources, the summary forwarded on the recommendation of Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for two appointments has been approved.
Sources stated that Pakistan has decided to appoint new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates and Russia. Under this decision, Shafqat Ali Khan has been approved as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. He is presently serving as the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to sources, Shafqat Ali Khan has previously served as Pakistan’s ambassador to Poland and Russia.
In addition, Pakistan’s current ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has been approved as the new ambassador to Russia. The incumbent ambassador to Russia, Khalid Jamali, will be appointed as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
