Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson will undergo a "minor procedure" on a meniscus injury to his right knee in the coming days, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.
Dickerson then will be considered week-to-week, with the goal of returning for the Thursday night, Sept. 4 regular-season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, the source told Schefter.
He was helped off the field and carted indoors after suffering an apparent right leg injury during the team's open practice Sunday night. The injury occurred late into the two-plus-hour practice at Lincoln Financial Field.
Dickerson went to the ground on a pass play, with Jalen Hurts finding Saquon Barkley in the flat on the opposite side of the field.
The crowd of about 50,000 went silent as Dickerson stayed on the ground for several minutes while teammates gathered around him. He was eventually helped off the field, unable to put much weight on his right leg, and then rode a cart inside.
Brett Toth has spelled Dickerson at left guard this summer on the days when Dickerson was a limited participant.
Dickerson appeared on Saturday's injury report because of a knee injury and was a limited participant. He was not listed on the injury report Sunday.
Dickerson, 26, is a key player on one of the best offensive lines in football. He helped pave the way for Barkley during his record-breaking 2024 campaign, in which he rushed for 2,504 yards, including playoffs.
Dickerson is one of five guards who have made the Pro Bowl every year since 2022, along with the Cleveland Browns' Joel Bitonio, the Atlanta Falcons' Chris Lindstrom, the Indianapolis Colts' Quenton Nelson and the Chicago Bears' Joe Thuney.
Philadelphia Eagles guard Kenyon Green, acquired in an offseason trade, is week-to-week with a shoulder injury that is likely to end his preseason, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Green, acquired from the Texans, missed all of 2023 with a shoulder injury, and before going down last October with another shoulder issue, he led all guards in pressures allowed (36). He ranked third in quick pressures allowed (14), per NFL Next Gen Stats.
