Sanam Marvi breaks silence over people questioning faith of showbiz stars
‘Now you will go for Umrah or Hajj?’

(Web Desk): Pakistani folk singer Sanam Marvi shared her views regarding the criticism she faces on social media.
Recently, she appeared on a private TV morning show alongside senior actress Bushra Ansari. During the program, Sanam Marvi explained that she faces significant trolling on social media because of her music.
She emphasized that she is an ordinary human being who also desires to perform acts of worship, yet people fail to understand that.
The singer said that most criticism stems from her performing music; people cast inappropriate remarks when she posts about worship or religious devotion. Sanam Marvi explained that even if she performs Umrah, Hajj, or visits shrines, users make bad comments such as, “Now you will go for Umrah or Hajj?”
She added that when she returns from visiting Karbala or performing Umrah and resumes her work, she is mocked: “You just came back from performing Umrah, and now you're working again?”
According to her, singing is her profession it’s her livelihood, and she must continue doing it.
