Gmail rolls out Material 3 Design and 'mark as read' feature
The purpose of this feature is to offer greater convenience to users

(Web Desk): Gmail, Google’s most popular email service, has received an update that includes the Material 3 Expressive Design and a new feature.
According to a report by 9to5Google, the Material 3 Expressive Design was first introduced in June, and it has now been further improved.
Google has integrated this new design into the Gmail search bar, moving the hamburger menu button and the profile switcher outside of the browser view to enhance the user experience within the search interface.
However, this redesign has not yet been rolled out to all Gmail users.
In addition, Gmail has introduced a new “Mark as Read” feature.
This feature had been in testing since June and is now being rolled out for all users. It is specifically being added to the Gmail Android app.
A new button will appear between the Delete and Reply buttons. With this feature, users can simply select emails and tap the new button to mark them as read, even without opening them.
The purpose of this feature is to offer greater convenience to users who may not want to read certain emails but also do not want to delete them.
