Pakistan Army has immediately started road repair work


Web Desk: In Gilgit Baltistan, the main road connecting Skardu to other parts of the country was washed away at the Astak area due to recent floods.
The Pakistan Army has immediately started the road repair work. Restoration work is ongoing day and night under the supervision of senior officers, while modern machinery has also arrived at the site.
Severe weather conditions and heavy water flow are hampering relief and recovery efforts. The soldiers of the Pakistan Army are busy repairing the road with their dedication and determination.
The road will soon be repaired and Skardu will be reconnected to other parts of the country.
As per the directives of Prime Minister, NDMA continues to send relief supplies to flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
NDMA has handed over relief supplies for Buner victims to the district administration. The relief goods included tents, blankets, 7KVA generators, dewatering pumps, ration bags and medicines.
NDMA is in full coordination with all relevant civil and military agencies and is continuously monitoring the ongoing relief operations by all relevant agencies.
