Trump hints at Russia-Ukraine Presidential meeting by end of August

(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has said that a meeting between the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine is likely to take place by the end of August.

According to media reports, President Trump had a lengthy telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which Putin informed Trump that he is ready to meet his Ukrainian counterpart.

Trump briefed Putin about his recent discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders.

The phone call between the two presidents lasted for 40 minutes, and they agreed to maintain communication on matters beyond Ukraine as well.

It is worth noting that President Trump recently held an important meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Zelensky, which was also attended by ministers from Italy, France, and the United Kingdom.

On the occasion, President Trump described ending the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as crucial for global peace.

He stated that a few days earlier, he had a positive meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added that today’s meeting is also a very significant step in the same direction and represents a positive move toward ceasefire and cooperation between the two nations.
