Lahore roof collapses leave four dead, four injured

Lahore: Three people were killed and four others injured when the roof of a house collapsed on Bedian Road. In another incident, a roof collapsed in Old Anarkali, resulting in the death of one person.

The roof of a house collapsed in Miana Wala, Bedian Road, Ismailpura, trapping several individuals under the debris.

Upon receiving the information, rescue teams quickly reached the site. The Urban Search and Rescue Team managed to rescue four people alive from the rubble, while three bodies were recovered.

According to Rescue 1122, the victims who died in the Bedian Road incident included 60-year-old Ramzan, son of Sufi, 18-year-old Dua Fatima, and 7-year-old Kiran. The injured, including 25-year-old Mafiya, wife of Zubair, 15-year-old Salman, son of Akhtar, 20-year-old Nazia, daughter of Iqbal, and 25-year-old Ikram, son of Akhtar, were transferred to Lahore General Hospital.

SP Cantt Captain (retired) Qazi Ali Raza confirmed that the bodies were taken into custody and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. Investigations are underway, considering all aspects of the incident.

Meanwhile, in Old Anarkali, Lahore, one person died when the roof of a house collapsed.
