The holidays will apply to all govt offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils operating under the administrative control of the Govt of Sindh

(Web Desk): The Sindh government has announced a two-day public holiday on September 5 and 6 in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
A notification issued on Wednesday confirmed that the holidays would be observed across the province. The holidays correspond to the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
According to the notification, “The holidays will apply to all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils operating under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh.”
However, essential services will continue uninterrupted. “Officers and officials engaged in flood duties, emergency services, and other related services will remain on duty during these holidays,” the notification stated.
The federal government had earlier declared September 6 as a nationwide holiday to mark the religious occasion.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated across Pakistan with processions, religious gatherings, and recitations, as citizens pay tribute to the life and teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).
