Lahore: ‘Clinic on Boats’ services have been launched for the first time in history for flood-affected areas in Punjab.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, ‘hospitals on boats’ have been set up in flood-affected areas. The Punjab Health Team is busy in flood-affected areas across the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is committed to the treatment of victims, especially women and children, in flood relief camps. Historic health services are being provided in flood-affected areas in the biggest flood in history.
An integrated program has been launched to restore the health of women and children in flood-affected districts. Following the instructions of Maryam Nawaz, the best treatment facilities are available for flood victims. 968 clinics on wheels and medical relief camps have been established in flood-affected areas.
As per the Chief Minister's instructions, special arrangements have been made for the treatment of women and children.
Doctors and staff are available for check-ups of pregnant women, while multivitamins, sanitary kits, and other essential items for women are available in every flood camp. Rural ambulance service is also available round the clock to reach pregnant women to Maryam Nawaz Health or hospitals on time.
Specialist doctors are visiting every camp daily for the treatment of children, and special arrangements have also been made for the routine vaccination of newborns in flood relief camps.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, special arrangements have been made for the treatment of insect bites, skin infections, stomach diseases, cholera, and malaria in flood relief camps.
There is a sufficient supply of ORS, antibiotics, and other essential medicines in the flood relief camp. Necessary treatment facilities are also available for screening and treating children suffering from malnutrition in flood relief camps.
