A total of 62,322 students appeared in the second-year board exams, out of which 44,302 students passed while 16,837 failed

Peshawar: The Peshawar Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the results of the intermediate (second-year) examinations.
Chairman of the Peshawar Education Board, Khuda Bakhsh, stated that a total of 62,322 students appeared in the second-year board exams, out of which 44,302 students passed while 16,837 failed. He added that 583 students were absent, and the overall pass percentage stood at 72%.
In the Arts group, Ikramullah from Usmania Children Academy secured first position with 1,070 marks, second position was also from the same academy with 1,069 marks, and third position was taken by Hafiza Kainat from Iqra School with 1,066 marks.
In the General Computer Science group, Soumya Jahanzeb from Charsadda stood first with 1,132 marks, while Iffat Qazi secured second place, and Arisha Asif got third position with 1,099 marks.
In the Pre-Engineering group, Tooba Rauf secured first position with 1,117 marks. The second position was shared by Atika Laila and Muhammad Haris, both scoring 1,112 marks, while Aiman Tariq took third position with 1,111 marks.
In the Pre-Medical group, Aneesa Urooj topped with 1,145 marks, followed by Hassan Mughal in second place with 1,139 marks, and Marwa Qaiser secured third place with 1,138 marks.
