Muzaffarabad: Re-polling at four polling stations of the LA-16 East Bagh constituency of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly started Thursday (July 29) at 8:00 am and will continue till 5:00 pm without any interval.

According to local media, polling was halted after ballot papers were burnt at two polling stations, while the process of polling could not be held in two stations after clashes on July 25.
Reportedly, a total of 2,300 votes have been registered at the four polling stations.
Kashmiris on Sunday voted in the favour of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) as the party candidates secured 25 seats in the Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJK) elections, unofficial and unconfirmed results suggest.
According to GNN reports, out of total 45 seats PTI won 25 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) 11, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) six and Muslim Conference and Jammu and Kashmir PPP bagged one seat each. The result of one constituency is still awaited.
A total of 724 candidates contested elections on 45 seats.
