Islamabad: The coronavirus situation is worsening in Pakistan with each passing day as country reported over 4,500 new COVID-19 cases for fourth consecutive day as the virus keeps spreading across the country, official data showed.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,537 cases of coronavirus were reported while 86 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,295.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,024,861.
As many as 938,843 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,117 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 355,483 in the province with 11,019 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 377,231 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,947.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 143,213 in the province with 4,444 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 30,162 confirmed cases while 327 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 23,819 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 622. On the other hand, there are 8,008 cases in GB with 137 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 86,945 cases in the capital city while 799 people have lost their lives.
