Aamir Khan’s acting never impressed me: Faisal Rehman
Pakistani actor recently appeared on a podcast, where he spoke candidly about his cinematic experiences and a variety of topics

(Web Desk): Veteran actor Faisal Rehman has said that Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s acting has never impressed him.
Faisal Rehman recently appeared on a podcast, where he spoke candidly about his cinematic experiences and a variety of topics.
He shared that Madam Noor Jehan had regarded his father as a brother, and for that reason she would affectionately address him as “my brother’s son.”
According to him, since both his father and Madam Noor Jehan were part of the same industry, she knew his father—and him—very well.
Faisal Rehman expressed regret that despite spending considerable time with Noor Jehan, he never once had a photograph taken with her.
He explained that at the time, it never occurred to him that one day she would no longer be in this world.
Speaking of her, he said Madam Noor Jehan was not only a magnificent singer but also a refined and remarkable personality. While travelling, she would often listen to her own recordings in order to evaluate how she had sung.
Discussing the craft of acting, Faisal Rehman remarked that there is no such thing as “good” or “bad” acting; an actor’s task is simply to embody the role in line with the story and respond truthfully to the situation.
Turning to Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Faisal Rehman said that while he may well be a good person, his acting fails to move him.
He added that Aamir Khan appears to be striving too hard on screen, as if determined to look perfect in every way—whereas in reality, nothing is ever truly perfect.
According to Faisal Rehman, it is possible that Aamir Khan’s team has cultivated his “Mr Perfect” image for marketing purposes, which may be commercially beneficial, but in his view such struggle is unnecessary in acting.
He went on to say that he is well aware his remarks will invite criticism, given Aamir Khan’s enormous following. However, he emphasised that this is purely his personal opinion, and he is not suggesting that others must also dislike the actor. Nonetheless, for him, Aamir Khan’s acting has never managed to impress.
