Mira Sethi confirms divorce after two years
Sethi revealed that her divorce took place in March 2023

(Web Desk): Renowned actress Mira Sethi has confirmed her divorce after two years and opened up about her personal life and the difficult time she went through.
In a recent interview, Mira Sethi spoke candidly about various aspects of her personal life.
She revealed that her divorce took place in March 2023, just a few months after the drama serial Aankahi. At that time, she was busy shooting for the drama, and it was one of the most difficult periods of her life.
Mira Sethi shared that years ago, she delivered a dialogue in a drama related to divorced women — "A divorced woman becomes a thorn in society." She still remembers that line to this day.
However, she added that things have changed significantly now. Many actresses in the industry openly discuss the subject of divorce. Yet, the end of a marriage brings not just pain, but also an identity crisis.
She explained that for the past two to two-and-a-half years, she has been on a journey of self-reflection, trying to understand her relationship with herself and with the world — a necessary process especially for an actress, as her life is constantly in the public eye.
The actress said that during this tough time, her friends and family stood by her, and even help from some strangers proved to be supportive.
According to Mira Sethi, divorce has a deep impact on a person's life and identity, and recovering from that trauma takes time. But the process of introspection during this phase is both positive and necessary, and it helped her immensely.
It is worth mentioning that Mira Sethi married her close friend Bilal Siddiqi in the United States in 2019, after getting engaged a year earlier.
