Campaign begins to eradicate drugs in Balochistan following Field Marshal’s directions
Poppy crops have been destroyed in many areas

Quetta: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and local institutions have launched a major campaign to eradicate poppy cultivation and drug dens in Balochistan.
This campaign was launched under the direct instructions of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Balochistan government. This campaign aims to rid Balochistan of drugs and permanently eradicate this scourge.
During the organized operations in this campaign, poppy crops have been destroyed in many areas, and operations have also been taken against networks involved in the production and distribution of drugs.
To completely thwart the nexus of drug networks and terrorists, alternative employment opportunities will also be provided. By providing alternative sources of employment, the local people will be prevented from cultivating drugs again.
It is the need of the hour to adopt an effective and sustainable strategy to break the nexus of drugs, crime, and terrorism. This nexus provides strength to this entire network. The war on drugs is a national responsibility. The government, security agencies, and every individual in society must play their role in this war.
