Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Moin Riaz Qureshi as the new Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly.
Following the disqualification of former Opposition Leader Ahmad Khan Bachhar, PTI has put forward Moin Riaz Qureshi for the role.
Commenting on the development, PTI’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that Bachhar is pursuing his legal battle and continues to have the full support of the party.
It is worth noting that the position of Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly had remained vacant since Ahmad Khan Bachhar’s conviction and disqualification in the May 9 case.
