(Web Desk): In the past 24 hours, 34 new dengue cases have been reported in Rawalpindi.
According to the Health Department, a total of 12,249 individuals have been screened for dengue in Rawalpindi so far, out of which 793 cases have been confirmed.
No dengue-related deaths have been reported this year, while 82 confirmed dengue patients are currently under treatment in hospitals.
There are 1,499 dengue surveillance teams actively working in the district. So far, 5,514,346 homes have been inspected, of which 171,050 were found positive for dengue larvae.
As part of spot checking, 1,501,096 locations were inspected, and 23,035 were found positive. Dengue larvae were discovered and destroyed at 194,085 locations.
For violations of dengue SOPs, 4,389 FIRs have been registered, 1,839 buildings sealed, 3,462 challans issued, and fines totaling Rs17.807 million have been imposed.
In the last 24 hours, dengue patients have been reported from the areas of Amarpura, Asghar Mall Scheme, Bewal, Chamman Sultan, Chak Jalal Din, and Chaklala.
Additional cases have also emerged from Dhamial, Dhok Hassu, Dhok Kashmirian, Dhok Munshi, Dhok Najju, and Garhi Sikandar.
Other affected areas include Gheela Khurd, Girja, Kotha Kalan, Qasimabad, Renal, and Thatta Khalil.
