Federal Board introduces grading formula, those scoring above 96pc will get A++ grade
A+ will be given to those who score 91 to 95 percent


Islamabad: The Federal Board of Education has implemented the grading formula for Matric and Intermediate.
According to the notification, the new grading system will be implemented from 2026, with the first year of Matric and Intermediate examinations. Students who score 96 to 100 percent in the examinations will get A++ grade.
A+ will be given to those who score 91 to 95 percent. A grade will be given to those who score 86 to 90 percent. In addition, B++ has been set for 81 to 85 percent, and a B+ grade for 76 to 80 percent.
B grade will be given to 71 to 75 percent, C+ for 61 to 70 percent, and C grade for 51 to 60 percent. In addition, a D grade (Emerging) will be given to 40 to 50 percent.
Students scoring less than 40 percent marks will be declared “Ungraded.” Failed students will be able to retake the exam.
