Establishing Palestine with pre-1967 borders is bedrock of Pakistan's Middle East policy: PM
He expressed happiness over US President Trump’s important role in Gaza ceasefire

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the establishment of a strong and viable Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital remains the bedrock of Pakistan’s Middle East policy and will remain so.
Before leaving for home after attending a meeting in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt, Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement released on the social media platform X that his gratitude to President Trump is anchored in his promise that he would stop the massacre, and delivering on that promise.
The Prime Minister expressed happiness over US President Donald Trump’s important role in the Gaza ceasefire and said that he will continue to appreciate President Trump’s extraordinary services for peace.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan’s biggest priority was to immediately end the genocide imposed on Gaza. We presented this position with other brotherly Islamic countries in a categorical manner.
The Prime Minister added that the freedom, self-respect, and prosperity of the Palestinian people are fundamental to Pakistan.
As I board the plane to return home after the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm el Sheikh, I want to share some reflections on the potentially transformational nature of what took place and why Pakistan has been so deeply involved.
