Ialamabad:(Radio Pakistan)Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left for Baku on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the events marking the 5th anniversary of Victory Day, being commemorated today.
He is visiting Baku at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar is also accompanying the Prime Minister during the visit.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet with the Honorable President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The discussions will focus on reviewing all aspects of bilateral relations and identifying new avenues to further deepen cooperation in diverse fields, including trade and investment, energy, defense, education, and regional connectivity.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy brotherly relations based on deep-rooted foundations of shared faith, history, culture, and mutual trust. Both countries continue to maintain close cooperation at regional and international forums, particularly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the United Nations (UN).
The Prime Minister’s visit reaffirms Pakistan’s steadfast support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and reiterates the commitment to further advancing the strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.
