According to Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR), the weapon system is capable of striking targets at sea and on land with exceptional precision

Karachi: The Pakistan Navy has successfully test‑fired an indigenously developed anti‑ship ballistic missile from a locally produced naval vessel. The President, Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff extended their congratulations to the scientists involved in the successful test.
According to Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR), the weapon system is capable of striking targets at sea and on land with exceptional precision.
In its statement, ISPR added that the system is equipped with advanced guidance technology and high‑end manoeuvring capabilities. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior scientists and engineers, witnessed the flight test.
ISPR described the successful test flight as “a testament to Pakistan’s technological proficiency and the Pakistan Navy’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national interests”.
According to the statement, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and the service chiefs congratulated the participating units and scientists on the achievement.
The military’s media wing further recalled that on 30 September, the Pakistan Army had successfully conducted a training launch of the newly inducted, indigenously developed Fatah‑4 cruise missile, with a range of up to 750 kilometres.
At the time, ISPR stated that the weapon system—equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation systems—possesses the ability to fly close to the earth’s surface, enabling it to evade enemy missile‑defence systems and strike targets with a high degree of accuracy.
