Lahore: Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan resigned from her post on personal grounds on Friday.
Chief Minster Sardar Usman Buzdar accepted her resignation and issued a notification in this regard.
Ms Awan thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for giving her an opportunity to serve the government.
Earlier, the premier had appointed Dr Firdous as his special assistant on information and broadcasting in April 2019.
She had replaced Fawad Chaudhry, who at that time was the minister of science and technology.
MPA Asad Khokhar likely to take oath as Punjab minister
PTI MPA Asad Khokhar called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar today and discussed matters of mutual interests.
Khokhar, who has served as Punajb minister in the past, would again take oath as provincial minister at the Governor's House.
