After teasing its first collaboration with the Pokémon franchise last March but sharing very few details, Lego’s first Pokémon sets are now available for preorder through the company’s online store. The cheapest of the three is an articulated version of Eevee, but there’s also a budget-busting set featuring Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur that’s a whopping $649.99. Along with Lego’s first Smart Brick sets launching in March, it’s already shaping up to be an expensive year for Lego fans.
Shipping for all three Pokémon sets is expected to start on February 27th.

A set that is only for the most diehard Pokémon fans and Lego collectors is the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise diorama featuring the three original starter pokémon in their final evolutions. It’s a 6,838-piece behemoth that includes articulated and poseable versions of the three pokémon plus an elaborate display stand with beach, jungle, and volcano biomes matching their types.

Lego’s brick-built version of Pikachu includes articulated limbs and ears so you can pose it on its own or in a battle stance when attached to a display stand featuring lightning effects and a Poké Ball that can be opened or closed. The 2,050-piece set is the second-most expensive in the new collection at $199.99 and includes a fun Easter egg. On its display stand are studs forming the number 25, which is Pikachu’s Pokédex number.

For Pokémon fans trying to responsibly stick to a New Year’s budget resolution, the 587-piece Eevee set is the most affordable of the three at $59.99. It doesn’t come with a display stand, but the pokémon has a movable head, limbs, and tail, allowing the 7.5-inch-tall figure to be posed.

Alongside the sets featuring actual Pokémon characters, Lego has announced two additional promotional sets with limited availability. The 312-piece Kanto Region Badge Collection includes all eight Kanto region badges in a buildable display case, but is only available as a free gift when you purchase the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set between February 27th and March 8th. There’s also a 233-piece Mini Pokémon Center that’s only available as a Lego Insiders reward (the company’s free loyalty program) when you redeem 2,600 points, according to Jay’s Brick Blog.
