Peshawar: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the decision to bring and resettle terrorists from Afghanistan was a grave mistake, and this is the main reason for the rise in terrorism in the country. Everyone knows who released hundreds of terrorists from Swat. Poison is being spread against Pakistan by echoing the voices of enemies.
According to details, while addressing participants of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Security Workshop, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism. The government is taking practical steps to further improve the law and order situation in the province, and the establishment of lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become inevitable.
He said that national security is the government’s top priority; therefore, a comprehensive strategy is being adopted to deal with internal and external security challenges. The sacrifices of the security forces in eliminating terrorism are commendable.
Addressing the workshop, he stated that the state is determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from its roots, and everyone must unite to confront terrorism.
He said that if Punjab develops while other provinces do not, it cannot be called Pakistan’s development. The country will only progress when all provinces develop. Punjab gave Rs 100 billion from its own share to Balochistan. The federation is funding the construction of an important road in Balochistan, while Rs 40 billion have been provided by the federal government for solar tube wells in the province.
During his speech, the Prime Minister said that to counter terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, other provinces contributed Rs 800 billion from their own shares. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa voted in favor of Pakistan in the referendum.
He said that under the leadership of the Field Marshal, victory was achieved in the war against India. Last year, seven Indian aircraft were shot down, and today the green passport is viewed with respect. We are moving rapidly toward economic development and need to further accelerate the growth rate
