Islamabad: Pakistan has reported a share surge in Covid-19 deaths as threat of delta variant looms large in Pakistan.


According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,884 cases of coronavirus were reported while 86 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,004.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,075,504.
As many as 967,073 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,530 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 365,824 in the province with 11,239 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 401,790 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,235.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 149,056 in the province with 4,570 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,234 confirmed cases while 332 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 27,507 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 650. On the other hand, there are 8,876 cases in GB with 157 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 91,217 cases in the capital city while 821 people have lost their lives.
