Web Desk: New Zealand defeated the United Arab Emirates by 10 wickets in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
In the Group D match played in Chennai, the UAE, batting first, posted 173 for 6. Mohammad Waseem scored 66 while Ali Shan Sharafu added 55 runs. Matt Henry claimed two wickets.
In reply, New Zealand openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen produced a blistering unbeaten partnership, chasing down the 174-run target without loss in the 16th over. Seifert remained unbeaten on 89, while Allen scored 84.
With this victory, New Zealand registered their second consecutive win in the tournament, having earlier beaten Afghanistan in their opening match.
