Colombo: In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan set a target of 191 runs for the United States.

In the match played in Colombo, the United States won the toss and elected to field, inviting Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan scored 190 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan top-scoring with 73 runs.

Chasing the target, the United States reached 50 for 1 in six overs.

For the match against the USA, Pakistan made one change to their playing XI, with Usman Tariq replacing Salman Mirza.

Pakistan’s team includes Sahibzada Farhan, Saeed Ayub, Babar Azam, Salman Agha, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Usman Tariq, and Abrar Ahmed.

Pakistan got off to a solid start, with an opening partnership of 54 runs between Saeed Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan. Ayub was dismissed for 19, followed shortly by captain Salman Ali Agha for just 1 run.

Farhan and Babar Azam played attractive shots, with Farhan reaching a half-century before being dismissed for 73. Babar scored 46 off 32 balls, while Shadab Khan contributed a quick 30 off 12 deliveries.

Sheldley Van Schalkwyk took four wickets for the United States.

Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by three wickets in a thrilling encounter, while the United States suffered a defeat against India.
