Security forces operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; 34 khawarij terrorists killed

Rawalpindi: Security forces killed 34 Khawarij terrorists during operations conducted in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, security forces received information about an attempt by a group of Khawarij to infiltrate across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the areas of Mir Ali and Hassan Khel in North Waziristan.
The ISPR spokesperson stated that the infiltration attempt was foiled through timely operations. As a result of effective and professional action, 13 militants were killed.
In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Lakki Marwat district and Bannu, 13 Khawarij were killed. Meanwhile, 8 terrorists were eliminated in the Sambaza area of Zhob district in Balochistan.
The spokesperson further stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists. These elements had been involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
According to ISPR, a clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate other Khawarij operating in the area with Indian backing, while counterterrorism efforts under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign will continue at full pace.
