Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer meets HEC Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmed to discuss media education initiatives

Islamabad:Chairperson of the Department of Film & Broadcasting, SCS University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer, had a meeting with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar. 

She congratulated him on assuming the charge of the Commission and expressed her confidence that, given his vast and distinguished experience in the higher education sector, he would play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction to higher education in Pakistan and in addressing the key challenges faced by universities and academic institutions.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer briefed him on the academic initiatives, research activities, and creative projects being undertaken by the Film & Broadcasting Department.

The discussion also highlighted the growing importance of media education and creative industries in the contemporary academic landscape.

Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar appreciated the department’s initiatives and assured his full support and cooperation for the development and progress of the department whenever required.
