5G spectrum auction successfully completed: Shaza
Minister said the transparent auction of 480 megahertz of spectrum will generate five hundred and ten million dollars

Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has announced that the 5G spectrum auction has been successfully completed.
She was addressing a news conference alongside PTA Chairman Hafeez Ur Rehman and telecom representatives in Islamabad today.
The Minister said the transparent auction of 480 megahertz of spectrum will generate five hundred and ten million dollars.
She emphasized this milestone marks a significant step toward digital progress and will help Pakistan become a digital nation.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja further said 5G pilot project will be launched in major cities in coming weeks. She added full services will likely be available in the federal and all provincial capitals in six to eight months.
The Minister also highlighted that the auction process was designed to protect the rights of both the industry and consumers.
