Rawalpindi: A powerful blast took place in the vicinity of Pakistan Ordinance Factory, Wah Cantt on Thursday, leaving three people dead and two wounded.


Police sources said the investigators are determining the nature of the blast. Fire tenders, police, and ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
Witnesses shared footage of smoke rising in the air on social media. The explosion shattered glass of nearby buildings and residences.
Police initially termed the incident as an accident.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the blast took place inside a plant at Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF).
The situation is under control while the area has been cleared, it added
The technical emergency team of POF controlled the situation well in time while three workers including two others were injured in the incident.
