Ishaq Dar meets Turkish FM after Egypt talks; focus on Middle East de-escalation
Both leaders emphasized dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomacy for peace and stability. They also agreed to enhance regional coordination and cooperation.


Islamabad: Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing tensions and crisis in the Middle East continue in full force. Following his meeting with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Ishaq Dar also met with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, where bilateral matters and the regional situation were discussed.
According to the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan upon his arrival at the Foreign Office. The spokesperson stated that during the meeting in Islamabad, the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Türkiye were reaffirmed, while regional developments, including the situation involving Iran, were also discussed.
The spokesperson further added that both leaders emphasized dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomacy for peace and stability. They also agreed to enhance regional coordination and cooperation.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Egyptian Foreign Minister had also met Ishaq Dar. During that meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt and explored ways to enhance mutual cooperation, along with exchanging views on the regional situation.
