Rawalpindi: The Corps Commanders’ Conference stated that Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia are undermining sincere efforts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.
According to the ISPR, the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The forum offered prayers for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the homeland, including members of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, and paid tribute to their unparalleled sacrifices.
The forum strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial facilities, expressing deep concern. It noted that Iran’s actions are damaging genuine efforts aimed at resolving tensions through peaceful channels.
Despite serious provocations, Saudi Arabia has so far demonstrated restraint and a cautious approach, which has helped create space for mediation and diplomatic solutions.
The Corps Commanders observed that such attacks constitute unnecessary escalation and unjustified aggression, severely affecting ongoing peace efforts and the conducive environment required for dialogue.
According to the ISPR, the Chief of Army Staff appreciated the unwavering professionalism of the armed forces and commended their operational performance and steadfast commitment to intelligence-based counterterrorism operations in defence of the country.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan is progressing towards stability through cooperation and harmony between the government, armed forces, and the public. He added that the country is strengthening its economic stability and working to improve its position at both regional and global levels.
The forum reiterated that the eternal sacrifices of martyrs form the foundation of Pakistan’s security. It resolved to eliminate all terrorists operating at the behest of India and other external sponsors, as well as their facilitators and supporters, through sustained and indiscriminate action.
The conference also affirmed that the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan will be decisively and completely eliminated. The forum stated that the pace of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will be maintained until all terrorist safe havens are eradicated.
The forum appreciated the government’s efforts to end conflict in the Middle East and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy. It emphasized that Pakistan, as a responsible stakeholder, is playing the role of an active regional security stabiliser.
The forum rejected what it described as persistent disinformation and baseless allegations attributed to India, stating that such tactics have been exposed internationally.
It also expressed concern over India’s ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including extrajudicial killings and fake encounters.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness and discipline, while also emphasizing innovation and professional excellence on the battlefield.
The Army Chief expressed full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to counter all forms of threats and reaffirmed confidence in Pakistan’s capacity to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
